MedLog — Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 September 2026

Your health data stays on your phone. MedLog has no account, no server of its own, and no advertising. The developer cannot see your data and receives nothing from the app.

What is stored, and where

Everything you enter (patient details, medicines, doses, schedules, reminders, vitals, prescriptions and any documents you attach) is written to a database on your device only. That database is encrypted at rest, with a key held in the phone's own secure storage. No copy is sent anywhere automatically.

What leaves the device, and only when you ask

What is never collected

No analytics, no crash-reporting service, no advertising or advertising ID, no tracking across apps or websites, and no account. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties, because nothing is collected in the first place.

Permissions, and why they are asked for

Each permission can be refused and the rest of the app still works. They can be reviewed any time from Settings > Review app permissions.

Children

MedLog is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone. A parent or carer may of course keep a child's medicine record in it.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling MedLog deletes the database and its encryption key from the phone, permanently. Export a backup first if you want to keep anything. A backup you placed in your own Google Drive is deleted from the app's Google Drive backup screen, or by removing the app's access in your Google Account settings.

Not medical advice

MedLog is a personal record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not diagnose, prescribe or give medical advice, and the ranges it uses to highlight a vitals reading are general reference values, not a clinical judgement. Always follow your doctor.
